Preserving the Sakya Tibetan Buddhist Heritage for future generations
The Sakya Heritage Society is an organization dedicated to building knowledge and practical application of Tibetan Buddhist teachings in today’s world. The long term goal of SHS is to protect the Sakya lineage so that the teachings which have been preserved for many centuries continue to be available for future generations of practitioners. Our current project is to establish an international center that focuses on educating and helping those in need as well as educating current and future Lamas, Monks, Nuns and Lay Practitioners.
We are currently focusing our efforts on educating monks and Buddhist clergy who will help grow and support our international center in Jaigaon, India, where Buddhist practitioners and Sangha members can study, practice, perform retreats, and teach in the Sakya and Rime traditions.
We are always open to dedicated individuals and organizations for financial and volunteer support. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
